SnowChristmasTree is a small application ideal for Christmas season, which shows a Christmas tree right on your desktop with the days, hours, minutes, and seconds remaining till Christmas. The program is indeed a variation of the "free" Christmas Tree program but includes two more skins.
By default the Christmas tree is configured to be always on the top, but you can disable this option, move it to another place on you desktop, or hide it completely. Besides that, the program has other configurable options that you can set such as change the skin or select another date: December 24th, December 25th, January 1st, and the Julian Christmas - January 7th.
The skin I liked the most is the default snow skin, which is more discreet and shows a white outline of the Christmas Tree, allowing you to see what is in the background. Nevertheless, you can use 18 other skins and change the font of the date legend. You can also play sounds for each hour or half hour - there are only three sounds available. All the options can be accessed directly from the Christmas tree or from the icon added to the system tray.
